UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA)
The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product marking that is used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking, known as ‘new approach’ goods. |
All products must have a UKCA Declaration of Conformity available by January 1, 2025, and thereby have obtained the required certification.
Products which have been certified by UK notified bodies must have an UKCA Declaration of Conformity available by January 1, 2023.
Non-Ex products
For non-Ex products, PR electronics is allowed to self-declare. This work has already been initiated and will be completed before the deadline of January 1, 2025.
A UKCA Declaration of Conformity will be made available on the PR website and the UKCA logo will be added to the Safety Note initially before being added to the label.
The UKCA marking will be based directly on the work performed for the CE marking of the products.
