The isomerization unit converts linear molecules to higher-octane branched molecules for blending into gasoline or feed to alkylation units.
To ensure proper conditions inside the isomerization unit reactor, gas chromatographs are used to measure the product effluent leaving the conversion reactor. The active 4...20 mA signals from the sensors need to be connected to an active/sourcing PLC card in the safe area. The PR 9113B temperature / mA converter is the right fit for this task and by attaching the PR 4510 display / programming front to the 9113B, diagnostic capability is added to the application.
