Q6: What does contact hysteresis mean?
Answer: Hysteresis is also known as “deadband”.
This is the difference between the contact setpoint and the contact reset point.
For example, if a contact is configured to trip when the measured input increases above 7.5 volts, and the hysteresis is configured as 2 volts, then the contact will reset when the temperature decreases below 5.5 volts.
